Local 116 News 2011  

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM LOCAL 116! We are very excited about all the possibilities 2011 holds. We are always looking for new ways to reinvent our local. This year we would like to add some new members, more youth members, and maintain the same existing membership roster. You can help by telling the musicians you know about us because... There is power in numbers! We also welcome any and all ideas on how to increase our numbers, productivity, and events. Together we can make this year remarkable!

LOCAL 116 NEWS 2010

2010 has been quite a year for Local 116. We referred many musicians to some amazing events such as Joan Rivers (6/10/2010), The Manheim Steamroller (11/22/2010), and The Four Tops concert (11/26/2010).

We also had several "return referrals" including local stores and restaraunts such as Pasado's and Dillard's. This proves that our musicians have been reliable, responsible and left good impressions which in turn allows for even more referrals and more gigs for you!

The requests for a variety of music teachers were consistent throughout the year as well.  If you teach music or know someone that does please email your information to our office manager so that she can add you to our list of music teachers which we will be providing a link for on this website soon.

We have started sending "email blasts" to our members when referrals come in so that everyone may be provided the opportunity for gigs. Also as a way to keep members informed continuously about our holiday hours, meetings, and anything else that could be of interest.
